Case 009 | Video
[When the feed starts, it shows Gordon for a brief moment before he turns the camera towards a Wooper that appears to be hiding behind a chair. She’s definitely not coming out from behind there any time soon, so Gordon’s just going to put himself back onscreen now.]
THE POKEMON YOU JUST SAW IS NAMED MINUTE. SHE USED TO BELONG TO A FRIEND OF MINE. I’VE BEEN TAKING CARE OF HER FOR ABOUT A MONTH, AND EVERY TIME I THINK I HAVE THINGS FIGURED OUT, THIS HAPPENS.
FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH, MY STARTER WAS PRETTY SHY TOO, BUT I’M DEFINITELY HAVING MORE OF A PROBLEM WITH THIS ONE. SO I’D LIKE TO ASK THE FOLLOWING: DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR HANDLING POKEMON THAT ARE LIKE THIS? ALSO, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM SUGGESTING THAT I PUT IT IN THE PC BOX. I’D PREFER TO AVOID DOING THAT, SORRY.

Well... it'd take a while to get over losing your trainer, I think? Memo's still pretty sad over losing her trainer. I think she might just need time - or maybe a listening ear. Some Pokemon are just naturally shy, though - and there's nothing wrong with that.
A LITTERING WHAT? COULD YOU REPEAT THAT, PLEASE?
[He’s not really sure what’s going on with the Mudkip dance routine either, but he’ll ask about that once he gets this sorted out.]

ALSO, I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT SHE SAYS EVEN WHEN SHE DOES, SO THAT'S ALSO A PROBLEM.

[...Adding the 'sir' because it sounds kind of rude, otherwise. It was hard to yell in the proper tone.]

WAIT, WAIT, DON'T--
[And now he's the one getting yelled at by an NPC to be quiet. Life sure was fair. Ooh, hang on, Hiccup's actually got an idea. No more video for you, Gordon.]
I just meant that it might be better for you to keep quiet around her since you're a less familiar face and voice. Being loud or sudden might scare her.
no subject
[Because no matter what he tries, he ends up yelling at some point.
Like right now for example.]
no subject
[He's really curious how you haven't shouted yourself hoarse, here.]
no subject
[His vocal cords are probably used to it.]
I DEFINITELY TRY AND TALK AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE WHEN IT DOES THOUGH. CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE MY VOICE.
no subject
No, I don't suppose you can.
Maybe until she gets more used to you, you could pretend your throat DOES hurt though?
no subject
I'M WILLING TO GIVE THAT A SHOT. HOW'S THIS?
no subject
Might want to try a little quieter.
no subject
[And then, at an actually reasonable volume.]
How's this?
no subject
YES THAT. Exactly that volume.
no subject
OKAY, I'LL TRY TO REMEMBER THAT. THANKS FOR THE ADVICE, HICCUP.
no subject
[...omg no he's going to go cry to his dragons now bye.]
/latest to the party gdi exams

[He means the hiding. That's what you were asking about, right Albert?]
no subject
[The aspirin companies adore you, Gordon. You and Albert are keeping them in business.]
YOU EVER THINK MAYBE THAT'S GOT SOMETHING TO DO WITH WHY IT'S AVOIDING YOU?
no subject
no subject
I THINK YOU MIGHT BE ON TO SOMETHING THERE, CHIEF.
no subject
ALSO FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH, I DON'T THINK THE POKEMON IS ON ANYTHING.
no subject
...
...ASSUMING IT HAS EARS TO PLUG. WHAT ARE THOSE PINK THINGS, LITTLE RADIO ANTENNAS?
no subject
THEY DO LOOK LIKE ANTENNAS, DON'T THEY?
no subject
no subject
[Or it might be. Gordon's not sure. It's not like he'd actually put it on the roof anyway.]
no subject
no subject
I DON'T THINK THAT'S GOING TO BE A PROBLEM HERE. COULD PROBABLY CHECK IT WITH A GEIGER COUNTER, BUT I REALLY DON'T THINK IT'S GOING TO DETECT ANYTHING.
no subject
WHAT?

[Which would be horrifying. Radioactive Woopers running amok in the world.]

[ Rarity switches off the feed and sends a message a few minutes later. ]
I was trying to say that your difficulties in communicating may be with your excessive volume. If it is so loud that even normal humans such as myself can hardly bear it, think of the poor dear's difficulties! You're probably frightening it to death.
[Video forever or until asked to change it]
[He's trying at least.]

I NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT TO TRY NOTES INSTEAD OF TALKING. THAT MIGHT HELP WITH THE SITUATION. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE SUGGESTION. I'LL BE SURE TO GIVE THAT A TRY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
[And hopefully Minute can read them.]
no subject
No trouble at all! What is your name, dearie?
no subject

no subject
[He'll remember that. He's never met anyone with that name before.]
IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU, RARITY.

Do excuse me, but I must attend to my ears from the brutal beating they've gotten today. It has been a pleasure!
