This is an official advisory.
Due to the recent outbreak of Ghost-Types, and what is believed to be a related string of reported possession incidents, the following has been advised:
-Limit unnecessary travel whenever possible. Swarms have been reported in multiple locations, so the more you travel, the greater possible risk of encountering one.
-If you must travel, try to do so only during the daylight hours. Whenever possible, travel in groups. Both of these should hopefully limit the chances of falling victim to one of these creatures
-If you encounter someone you believe to be afflicted by these creatures, remember that your first priority is your own safety. However, if you can do so safely, try to get them to a Pokémon Center for treatment. There has been at least one report of someone exhibiting signs of possession inflicting harm on their own person, and that should be prevented whenever possible.
-If they become hostile, attempt to find help immediately, whether it be another trainer, local law enforcement, or someone else. Do not engage someone you believe to be afflicted by these creatures if you cannot do so in a safe manner. Once again, we strongly emphasize that your first priority should be your own safety, so please seek outside assistance if the situation calls for it.
Due to resource issues, the Bureau is regrettably unable to assist all areas at this time. However, citizens in the greater Goldenrod-Saffron area are encouraged to call any member of the Bureau if they are in need of assistance. To contact an agent of the Bureau for assistance or further information, call any one of the following numbers:
>TRAINER ID: GORDON COLE
>TRAINER ID: DALE COOPER
>TRAINER ID: ALBERT ROSENFIELD
{OOC: All three of the agents will be handling calls, so just let us all know who you want in the subject line!}

Date: 2012-11-02 02:13 am (UTC)From:If you're capable of doing something like that while remaining safe and causing minimal harm to others, then I would say to give it a shot. If things get dangerous though, get help immediately.

Date: 2012-11-04 06:43 am (UTC)From:I think I will. I'll be sure to hide and do it safely. I just hope my Sunkern is going to be able to accomplish it without being detected and that I can get them back to the Pokécenter. It'd be terrible if I wasn't able to get them back to the center for help!

Date: 2012-11-06 01:58 am (UTC)From:Understood! It'd be very counterproductive if I needed rescuing because I tried to help someone else. I'll make sure to stake things out in places with a lot of people! [ She's craftier than what one may think. ]

Date: 2012-11-07 09:22 pm (UTC)From:And I'm glad that you seem to have a handle on the situation. Would you mind giving me your name, so I can let the others know that we have someone helping out. Your location too please, so I can let them know where.

Date: 2012-11-14 07:36 am (UTC)From:Ah! I see! The people here are very helpful. I'm glad you have someone from your world to help you out. That sounds like a fantastic luxury! I just woke up here with a friend close by, but he's from the past and is so different.... but we've both been making sense of this situation. As much sense that could be made of this, anyways!
