Case 007 | Audio/Action for Goldenrod Radio Tower | Fourth Wall

[Those checking their Gears right now might hear a familiar voice. What’s odd though is that the same voice is also coming from the radio if one is listening to that.]

HELLO. IS THIS THING ON? THIS IS GORDON, GORDON COLE. I SEEM TO BE IN A RADIO STATION OF SOME SORT. I’M NOT SURE HOW THIS HAPPENED, BUT PLEASE SEND HELP IMMEDIATELY. THANK YOU.

I APPEAR TO BE OKAY, JUST DISPLACED. SORT OF LIKE WHEN I GOT HERE. IF SOMEONE COULD ALERT AGENTS COOPER AND ROSENFIELD TO THE SITUATION AS WELL, I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT. THANKS AGAIN.

[It’s just dead air after that since Gordon’s not really sure how to turn the music back on.

The message repeats every twenty minutes or so. In the meantime, Gordon will be wandering around the studio trying to figure out how he was magically whisked from Albert’s farm to the Radio Tower.]

Yes! I don't know anyone named Gordon.

[This is ... probably just a big misunderstanding.]

Sorry, but I'm probably not the one you think I am.

[Wait, what - the odds of another Dale Cooper would be pretty slim, wouldn't they? He's not even old enough to be an FBI agent, so what is this man talking about?]

[He's quiet for a moment, then-]

Gordon WHO, exactly?
eaglescout: (a little bit afraid)

[personal profile] eaglescout 2012-11-25 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
With respect, sir, you only told me your first name!

[Which Coop points out pretty readily. ... he kind of can't help asking despite that bit of frustration, though.]

Are you an FBI agent?
eaglescout: (keep all the money)

[personal profile] eaglescout 2012-11-25 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
[SIGH] Nevermind.

[But hang on, normally? And- FBI is supposed to know at least the gist of what's happening. He's not all that happy in talking to this man, to be honest, but he'll take help where he can get it.]

Can you tell me what's going on here?

Yes, please!

[He doesn't mind lacking. He'd just like to have something, ANYTHING, to work with.]
eaglescout: (sticks and bones)

[personal profile] eaglescout 2012-11-25 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
YES, I'd like an explanation.

[Please, sir, just ... did you ever get your hearing checked?]
eaglescout: (staring at an open door)

[There's a kind of wincing on Coop's end the louder Gordon gets, but he just keeps his gear at a distance in a resigned way and tries to absorb the information.]

[Information that really isn't too helpful, all things considered, but ...]

Thanks, Gordon!

[Probably eerily similar to how he'll say that in some year's time, but for now, he's unaware as he says it loudly into the speaker with a kind of sigh to his voice.]

[Where the hell is he even supposed to start with this.]

[Coop was about to agree, kind of sigh, and hang up, but he naturally pauses at the request. There's still a weird feeling about this whole conversation all in all, but. Well.]

That depends on what it is.

[No promises, but he usually tries.]
eaglescout: (would not believe your eyes)

[personal profile] eaglescout 2012-11-26 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
I will!

[And if that went through to the hard-of-hearing man on the other end, he'll hang up.]
