HELLO, EVERYONE. THIS IS GORDON COLE SPEAKING. I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT POKEMON EVOLUTION, AND I’M HOPING SOMEONE OUT THERE CAN ANSWER IT. NOW, I’VE READ THE HANDBOOK AND UNDERSTAND THAT POKEMON CAN CHANGE FORMS FOR SEVERAL REASONS, BUT I’M A LITTLE CONFUSED ABOUT SOMETHING. YESTERDAY, MY KRICKETOT EVOLVED INTO A KRICKETUNE. FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND THIS IS NORMAL.
[Or as normal as the Pokémon world gets anyway.]
WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO ASK THOUGH, IS HOW COMMON IS IT FOR A POKEMON TO MAKE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT NOISE AFTER EVOLVING. I CAN ACTUALLY HEAR THIS SOMETIMES, AND I’M PRETTY SURE IT DIDN’T MAKE THAT NOISE BEFORE. IT SOUNDS LIKE…ACTUALLY, LET ME SHOW YOU.
GO AHEAD. IT’S RECORDING.
[There’s some silence, and then… this.]
IT’S REALLY STRANGE. ALSO DOES ANYONE KNOW IF IT’S NORMAL FOR POKEMON TO GROW A MUSTACHE AFTER EVOLVING? BECAUSE THIS ONE DID. AT LEAST IT LOOKS LIKE A MUSTACHE. I'M NOT REALLY SURE WHAT IT IS.

Yeah, Albert suggested it when I made my first post to the network. So far, it's worked for us pretty well.

AND I'M SURE ALBERT WILL HAPPY TO HEAR THAT YOU'VE TAKEN HIS ADVICE TO HEART.
[Or he'll just be all Albert about it. Could go either way in Gordon's opinion.]

I think he knows. He doesn't know Mio, but he knows I'm traveling with someone.
[He's probably happy that someone is finally listening to him regardless of his Albert-ness.]

[His strongest monster's around level fifteen.]
THAT'S NOT GOING TO BE HAPPENING FOR A WHILE THEN.

You could try letting your animals train on their own while you do other things. It seems to keep my roster happy.

[He hasn't really caught anything with a nature that lends itself to keeping the others focused. Usually battles happen when something in the wild scares his Whismur into using Uproar. And then everything just spirals into a mess of Gordon trying to figure out what's going on while his Pokemon try to calm things down.]

I almost wish my animals were the same. Yang and Elle always start pawing me if I've been reading for a while and they're feeling restless, and they won't stop until I've taken everyone out and gotten them at least half a level stronger. I have no idea how they have that kind of energy.

[Because he's not really sure how it enables things to Fly that should already be able to Fly.]

[The only reason he's taking that rule vaguely seriously is because of all the other crazy rules here that apply.]
