Case 006 | Text | Backdated to October 26th
This is an official advisory.
Due to the recent outbreak of Ghost-Types, and what is believed to be a related string of reported possession incidents, the following has been advised:
-Limit unnecessary travel whenever possible. Swarms have been reported in multiple locations, so the more you travel, the greater possible risk of encountering one.
-If you must travel, try to do so only during the daylight hours. Whenever possible, travel in groups. Both of these should hopefully limit the chances of falling victim to one of these creatures
-If you encounter someone you believe to be afflicted by these creatures, remember that your first priority is your own safety. However, if you can do so safely, try to get them to a Pokémon Center for treatment. There has been at least one report of someone exhibiting signs of possession inflicting harm on their own person, and that should be prevented whenever possible.
-If they become hostile, attempt to find help immediately, whether it be another trainer, local law enforcement, or someone else. Do not engage someone you believe to be afflicted by these creatures if you cannot do so in a safe manner. Once again, we strongly emphasize that your first priority should be your own safety, so please seek outside assistance if the situation calls for it.
Due to resource issues, the Bureau is regrettably unable to assist all areas at this time. However, citizens in the greater Goldenrod-Saffron area are encouraged to call any member of the Bureau if they are in need of assistance. To contact an agent of the Bureau for assistance or further information, call any one of the following numbers:
>TRAINER ID: GORDON COLE
>TRAINER ID: DALE COOPER
>TRAINER ID: ALBERT ROSENFIELD
{OOC: All three of the agents will be handling calls, so just let us all know who you want in the subject line!}

I'm not worried or anything because she can handle herself, but Carmen didn't show up at breakfast.
[Yep, this is the text of someone who is Not Worried.]
Are you all okay?
no subject
[Not that either one is particularly what he wanted to hear right now, but.]
Oh, sure, we're all just peachy-keen here on the eastern front.
no subject
And you know what I meant. Can't you just give a normal answer for once?
no subject
What do you want, hugs and kisses? We're all fine for the moment, though Cooper's probably going to have a heart attack when he hears the news.

[LET'S JUST GET THAT FACT STRAIGHT BEFORE WE CONTINUE, ALRIGHT?]
If the pokemon clear out some I'll go out and look for her. It's not too big of an area to search, as long as she didn't leave the island.
Oh, and your name should really be taken off the 'call for assistance' list if you're going to be like this for everyone else.

Then what do you suggest?
no subject
no that's coop's jobWhy does everyone keep asking him that.]Did you try picking up the phone and calling her?
no subject
Do you really think I'm that stupid? I called. She didn't answer and neither did Zack.

That's something good, at least. But if she did, then I didn't find one.

[Maybe they can spare someone to go look.]

[Which seriously needs fixing.]

This also might sound cold, but due to the lack of information, and the current situation, I'd have to advise against looking for her. Quite frankly, I'm worried that doing so might result in yet another missing persons case or someone else becoming incapacitated by the swarms.
no subject
So Albert suggested.
no subject
Don't worry though. Once things calm down, then we can start looking for her. If she doesn't turn up beforehand that is.
no subject
Yeah. Thanks, Gordon.
